I'm putting two albums together. 

It's soon two years since I released my first album; ‘All Doors Open’. A nostalgic release, since it's the first album I made, long ago, but never got released into the wild before.

I have heaps of finished and half-finished songs in my folders, as well as photo and video art. But I also have new music in the making as well as music that I know I want to make. 

I don't want to release only the old stuff. Therefore I will work on two albums simultaneously. One album with only old songs which needs some touch-up and mastering, and one album with new music. 

Going through my hard drives, minidiscs, CD-R:s, and cassettes is a slow grind. I have done a lot already and the track list for the album with the old stuff is done. Most files are in order. 

For the new album I have a couple of songs in need of some love, but I'm also looking forward to record some new, experimental stuff for it. 

I have created a newsletter called “Strange Signals”. As you know, a lot of updates happen through social media. But algorithms and trends can cut the signal forever. Sign up for the newsletter (somewhere on this page), if you want to keep receiving occasional updates on the music and what I'm up to, regardless of the algorithms and dying apps.

End of transmission

Today I've added a bio to the site. 

I always feel that it's going to be hard to write a bio. But then I find it's usually pretty easy to talk about what's been on my mind for as long as I can remember. 

Here's the bio, 2025 version: 

Deep Space Ocean is the lifetime music project of me, Håkan Lindén. Born and raised in Sweden.

The music spans a wide range of genres, including electronic music, piano, singing, electric guitars, trance beats, ambient music and more. Both plain song structures as well as long experimental excursions into the unknown can be found here. 

Two new albums are currently in the works. One with old, refurbished music, and one with mostly new music. One album is released; "All Doors Open". 

With one foot in the rock/metal genre in the teens, and the other in the synth/trance sphere, and the keyboard lessons at a young age, the outcome contains all these elements. As soon as I knew how to press down a key on the keyboard, I have been letting notes and sounds express my feelings. 

Hundreds of half-finished songs have been scattered out over hard drives, cassette tapes, Minidiscs, CD-Rs. I have a goal of releasing as much as I can. Both old and new music.
